"Back-To-Back" tour
Street Art & Local FOOD Walking Tour (not a free tour!)
You thought you were going to "dinner" with your co-traveler.
You got to the spot that a Chileno had suggested, and suddenly someone slaps a key of mayonnaise on your hot dog.... You then think to yourself "Why am I having a hot dog for dinner? Am I wrong for this? And why the 'tea or beer' option -- what is going on here?"
The problem is, the locals confused you for the average tourist.
Are you an average tourist? No, you're not, or you wouldn't be reading this.
You'd be at the main plaza, ready for the best rated tour on Tripadvisor, waiting with 25 other tourists, who "just want a little bit of this, and little bit of that (for free)", led by a guide who has been here for an entire 6 months, and can't wait to show you his favorite gentrified fusion restaurant and "quirky" colorful gentrified over-priced café.
But you're NOT A TURISTA. You travelled here -- you're a traveler; Culture and Experiences are your main concern. You couldn't care less about "Valpo's Number one Nikkei/Burger/Pizza Bar with excellent drip coffee" You have that back home -- and it tasted the same as it does here.
You came here to have an older gentleman yell at you and tell you to sit down and wait for your meal like the rest of the "lowlives" in there (his words, not ours).
You wanted to know why the artists are painting the pieces and whats behind the techniques, instead of hearing lies such as: "if the mural is pretty, graffiti criminals don't tag over them".
You need to take the back to back tour.
Street art and Local Food. No lies. No cries (unless you eat with dirty hands and get food poisoned).
What do we eat? Well, Chilean Local food.
How many stops? 3 (THREE) on the Group tour / 4 (FOUR) on the Private Tour. In between we talk street art and Graffiti Truths.
How much food is involved? This is Chile, partner. We don't microdose meals. We eat like hungry warriors who just finished battling in 300bc.
Can I share my foor with so-and-so? Yes. You can. You can do whatever you want with it, You can take it home and wait until it gets soggy. It's up to you.
We might visit an urban art gallery (depends if they are there), where you can talk to some artists, ask them questions or simply hang out and have a laugh or two.
